James Edward Oglethorpe (JEO) Competition at Oglethorpe University are open apply now. The Oglethorpe University is inviting applications for the 2019 competition recognizes your outstanding record of academic achievement and great potential to contribute to the community life of Oglethorpe University. Up to four full-tuition scholarships will be awarded following the JEO competition at Scholarship Weekend.

Three primary activities will help determine the winners of the JEO scholarship. These three components (outlined below) seek to identify students who are effective communicators, emerging leaders, and dynamic community participants.

  • Application Deadline: You may choose to participate on Saturday, January 26, 2019, or Saturday, February 16, 2019.  The Oglethorpe University
  • Course Level: Scholarship is available to pursue Honors course in at Oglethorpe.
  • Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded to study the subjects offered by the university
  • Scholarship Award: A four-year full tuition scholarship, valued at over $165,000
  • Nationality: The Scholarship is available to Georgia students.
  • Number of Scholarships: Not given
  • Scholarship can be taken in London, Barcelona, or Rome.

Eligible Countries: The Scholarship is available to Georgia students.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants with the first degree from a recognized university and academically talented, socioeconomic status, and are not engaged at work at all or have been engaged at work but couldn’t able to cover their study expenses will be eligible for the scholarship.
  • Three primary activities will help determine the winners of the JEO scholarship. These three components (outlined below) seek to identify students who are effective communicators, emerging leaders, and dynamic community participants.

How to Apply: Applications must be written in English and submitted via our online application form.

JEO Scholars will be required to accept or decline the award by May 1, 2019. (A winner who does not respond by May 1 will forfeit the offer of full tuition.) JEO Scholars are required to live on campus and will be expected to assist with future Scholarship Weekend and admission events during their time at Oglethorpe.
