LPDP Scholarship 2019 [UPDATED]

LPDP Scholarship are open apply now. The LPDP Scholarship Registration for the 2018 Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), a scholarship program managed by the Finance Ministry, officially opened on Monday.

The Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan / LPDP) finances higher education in Masters and Ph.D. programmes at the University of Twente. The scholarship aims to support the supply of educated and qualified Indonesian human resources who also possess leadership quality and a strong vision as the future leader of Indonesia LPDP Scholarship.

The applicants targeted for the programme are Indonesian citizens with excellent academic achievement and strong leadership quality who wish to continue pursuing studies on Master’s and Ph.D. programmes at the University of Twente, be it in similar or different fields than ones they had previously studied. The University of Twente is listed as one of the top 200 eligibles and preferred LPDP foreign partner institutions.

According to Kompas.com, the program targets Indonesian students with excellent academic results and leadership. Successful applicants will be granted funding to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees LPDP Scholarship.

The Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI) for Master’s and Ph.D. programmes is a scholarship program funded by the Indonesian government and is managed by LPDP to finance higher education in Indonesian or overseas institutions.

Public Service Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) is offering a scholarship program for Indonesian students. The scholarship is awarded for a maximum of two years for the Master program and a maximum of four years for the doctoral program. The scholarship is focused on six areas of scientific priority, Fund Management Institution of Education (LPDP) covering engineering, science, agriculture, accounting/finance, law, and religion.

This LPDP scholarship provides assistance costs LPDP Masters or Doctoral study programs to the grantee that includes the following components: Initial Cost (Initial Allowance) and Periodic costs (Periodic Allowance).

It involves a full scholarship for programmes at top universities. The applicants targeted for the BPI scholarship are Indonesian citizens with excellent academic achievement and strong leadership quality who wish to continue pursuing studies on a Master’s or PhD level.

Age requirement for LPDP scholarship

Applicants should not be more than 35 years of age as on December 31.

Applicants for a Master’s programme scholarship should fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Indonesian citizen
  2. Have graduated from a Bachelor’s programme
  3. Has a character of leadership
  4. Participate in social, science, innovation, creativity or culture activities
  5. Write an essay (500 to 700 words) with the theme: “My contribution for Indonesia”
  6. Maximum age of applicants on 31 December in the year of registration is 35 (thirty five) years

Health certificate

Applicants need to have valid drug-free and health certifications issued by a hospital. Furthermore, those who want to study overseas are also required to provide a TB-clearance certificate issued by a hospital.

Letter of recommendation for LPDP scholarship

Those who have yet to work are required to get a letter of recommendation from a community leader. Meanwhile, employees may attach a letter of recommendation from their superior.

Letter of statement

Applicants must sign a letter of the statement, saying that they will return to Indonesia after completing their studies. The letter also needs to state that they will not engage in unlawful acts or join any organization opposed to the Pancasila ideology.

LPDP scholarship Academic requirements

Applicants need to have at least a 3.0 GPA. An academic transcript from a university is required.

English-language certificates

Those who want to pursue an undergraduate degree in Indonesia need to provide an English-proficiency certificate issued by ETS or IELTS with a minimum IELTS score of 6.0.

Meanwhile, those who want to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate degrees need to provide an English-language proficiency certificate with a minimum IELTS score of 6.5. (jes/wng)
